I didnt go to course today because i woke up late and i have hardly any money left on my metro card,  so instead i chilled out on my computer, unfortunately it broke, and wouldnt boot up, it wouldnt even start the bios, the screen just showed nothing and all i could see was the leds light up, so i decided to find a soloution on the internet, turns out that this is a major problem with the computer i have hp pavillion tx1000 series (tx1219au) all the computers have a problem with the wireless card cutting out or breaking, which i used to get all the time, then the second stage of the problem is where the computer doesnt work at all and the screen is blank, the leds show, the fan turns on, and the hdd light flickers for a second and thats it, there was nothing i could do to fix it short of sending it back to hp to get the motherboard replaced, unfortunately my warranty ran out 3 months ago. READ: just about every other user with the exact same problem i had was also just a few months out of warranty, so i rang up hp insisting they replace my computer, however after speaking to 3 different people i could not talk to anyone higher, after realising they werent taking me seriously i decided to email the managing director for hp new zealand – keith watson. so i am awaiting the reply from that, after writing the email i continued to browse the posts about the hundreds of people affected by this problem, as i got towards the end, i found a soloution offered up by one person who suggested wrapping my laptop in a towel while running for 45 minutes, i was very skeptical of this but then more posts revealed that other users had success using this technique, so i tried it, and i was extremly happy when i saw that it worked once i had cooled it in the fridge for about 10 minutes,

i am unhappy that hp denied a problem with this series of laptops, idealy they should start a recall as this laptop is definately poorly designed, such that sometimes it can burn my legs when in normal operation, seriously i have had so many problems with this computer, luckily im so technologically minded, other people would have paid thousands for the problems i have fixed on this laptop,

after my computer was fixed i was on msn and remembered one of my freinds also had the same laptop as me and decided to ask him hows his was going, it just so happens that he already had the exact same problem. this proves this model is defective.

in other news, i fixed the problem where the blog tab wasnt working, i so happy it is now!!
